Frequently Asked Questions

Can I see a proof of my wedding invitation before I order?
Yes.  We at bridezilla know how important your special day is to you and as your invitation is the first glimpse your guests  have of your wedding day, it sets the scene for things to come!  It is thereby essential that your invitation is to your requirements and co-ordinates with your chosen colour scheme.  We thereby provide you with a free sample invitation, which will be made to your requirements.  Only once we receive your signature to say you are happy and wishing to place a full order will you be charged for a service.

When should I order my invitations?
Ideally you should order your invitations within 5 months of your wedding day.  Generally by this date you would have had all details confirmed.  We at bridezilla do however recognise that sometimes confirmation of certain information is not able to be provided on placing an order, such as reception venue.  Don't worry if this information is not able to be provided, you can provide this at a later date.
We at bridezilla also recognise that sometimes wedding invitations and wedding stationery may be required on a more urgent basis.  If this is the case we will do our utmost to provide you with your chosen collection, however, this will depend on our availability at the time and therefore we do recommend that you contact us prior to placing an order if this needs to be completed within 6 weeks of the order.

I really like one of your invitation/stationery collections but it does not co-ordinate with my chosen colour scheme.
Don't worry, most of our collections are available in a range of colours.  If you have a particular colour scheme or design in mind and our collections do not meet this, please contact us and we will do our utmost to design a collection based on your requirements.

How many invitation should I order?
The best advice we can give you is for you and your fiance to make a list of all the people you would like to invite to your ceremony and those you would like to invite to your evening reception.  Wedding etiquette advises that married couples require only one invitation and that children under the age of 18 can be included on their parents invitation.  Those of 18 year old plus should receive their own invitation, regardless of whether they live with their parents or independently.
Remember to total up the number of actual invitations required prior to ordering, and not the number of people attending.

Do your wedding invitations come with envelopes?
Yes all our invitations are supplied with either envelopes or postal boxes, depending on the design you choose.  Traditionally two envelopes would be used to send invitations: an inner envelope enclosing the actual invitation and an outer envelope which has the guests details.  Today, it is less common for people to do this, with most people choosing to address and enclose the invitation in the one envelope (we at bridezilla provide one envelope only).

Do you have a choice of wording from which to choose?
We have arange of wording examples which we can provide to you.  Alternatively, you can choose to have your own wording used, just let us know on placing your order, or let us know as soon as possible after this date.

I want to order co-ordinating menu/order of service etc with my invitations but do not have details confirmed.  Can I still place an order?
Yes you can place an order at any time, even if you are not able to confirm details at the time.  If you are awaiting information on date/venue/time just let us know during the ordering process that this information will be provided at a later date.  Once you have this information available please let us know by email or by letter and we will then complete your order.

I like a number of your collections, are you able to provide me with a catalogue?
Unfortunately we do not have catalogues available to send to potential customers as this would be too costly a service.  We do provide sample invitations which requires a small charge to cover labour and material but this will be reimbursed on placing an order commissioning us to cover your special event.

What method of payment do you accept?
We accept cheques made payable to Charlotte Williams (proprietor of bridezilla).

What if I was not happy with my order, could I get a refund?
Our rigorous proofing service should limit this from occurring as we always aim to work in partnership with our customers to ensure we meet your expectations.  In the unfortunate event that you were not happy with your order we would offer a refund on the return of your stationery.

What is a response card?
These are mailed with the wedding invitations and provide ease of response for your guests.  It consists of a small card asking your guests to confirm whether they intend to join you on your special day and any special requirements they may have.  You should request that response cards are mailed to you many weeks before your wedding day so that you have enough time to co-ordinate your wedding plans.  Generally response cards should co-ordinate with your chosen collection.  (please be aware that only certain collections include a response card in the price).

What is a map card?
This provides guests with easy to follow directions to your wedding venue.  Additional helpful information is sometimes supplied such as hotel information and telephone numbers for those guests that are going to be requiring an overnight stay.
